Sometimes, a place touches you so deeply it is hard to explain. It reaches inside, catches your heart, and raises feelings and emotions you had no idea were hidden away. I never realised that I could miss this landscape because I was never brought up among it. But when I found myself sitting on the banks of Loch Katrine, it was like a piece of my jigsaw clicked into place. I found peace among the rolling snow-topped hills fringing the loch edges. The way the skies seemed to be a continuation of the land intrigued me.

Reflections of dancing silver light across the loch and sunrises of peach glowing gently, all mine for the experience. Every time my eyes opened, I saw colour, light and shape. And a feeling of calm. Experiences like this can be very emotional and something you may never want to forget. It seemed natural to use the ICM technique to try to merge reality into imagination, concentrating on the shapes, light, and colour that enthralled me.
