DANCING in the moonlight
A horse dancing is a sight to behold. She gently glides over the floor; her dance moves are the two, three and four steps. Covering the floor with forward and sideward movement, she bends her body, and in response, the light sculpts it to show the beauty of her athletic body.
Her rider gently guides her around the arena, asking for balance, flexibility and concentration.
The spotlight follows her; she is the star of the stage. With mane and tail flowing as the light catches the tiny stands of hair and the sparkle of a stirrup and bit ring just visible, these images portray the beauty of the movement of the horse.
I love working with the ICM technique with horses and love the contrast and challenges offered with white horses. Working with two riders, I aimed to capture the beauty and elegance of horse and rider in harmony.
